Privacy-Native Monero Donations, Streaming & B2B Commerce

A Monero-native payment and donation platform connecting private cryptocurrency payments with creators, streamers, online communities, and emerging business-to-business commerce.

  • Monero (XMR)
  • Donation pages
  • Streaming integrations
  • Payment splitting
  • Node DevOps

Project overview

More than a wallet address on a profile.

Cryptocurrency can reduce dependence on platform-controlled monetization, but a raw address isn't a creator platform. Creators need donation pages, payment status, streaming integrations, and transaction handling that fits alongside their content.

Businesses need even more: clear transaction states, payment coordination, settlement logic, order relationships, commercial rules, and operational tooling. XMR Chat builds these application-level experiences on top of Monero.

From a supporter's payment to a stream alert.

Blockchain activity becomes application state once — then streaming integrations, notifications, dashboards, and future commerce features all react to the same events.

The platform

Fourteen capabilities across four areas.

Payments, creator experiences, infrastructure, and the B2B commerce vision that reuses all three.

01 / 4 capabilities

Monero-native payments

A payment layer built around the properties of the Monero network, with the application functionality creators and audiences expect.

Monero-native donation infrastructure

Creators set up donation experiences through which supporters send XMR without relying on traditional card-processing infrastructure.

The platform associates payment activity with the relevant donation context and exposes status to the application — so creators don't have to monitor wallet addresses and reconcile incoming payments by hand.

Privacy-oriented payments with Monero

On transparent blockchains, transaction values, addresses, and relationships may be publicly observable. Monero uses protocol-level privacy mechanisms intended to obscure key transaction information on the public chain.

XMR Chat builds its payment experience around these network characteristics rather than trying to recreate them at the application layer.

Blockchain privacy does not make an entire application anonymous. Servers, authentication, streaming integrations, browser sessions, logs, and third-party platforms may generate metadata independently of the Monero blockchain.

Transaction distribution & splitting

Infrastructure for distributing payments between recipients according to the application's transaction logic — when a payment involves several participants or commercial rules require funds to be divided.

Potential use cases

  • Multi-party creator collaborations
  • Revenue-sharing arrangements
  • Platform and service allocations
  • Community distributions
  • Multi-participant commercial transactions

The settlement model depends on the wallet architecture, transaction design, and application rules used for each workflow.

Payment event processing

The application needs to understand a payment's state and connect blockchain activity with its business context. Payment events are associated with application-level records.

Streaming integrations, notifications, dashboards, and future commerce features respond to payment state — without each one implementing blockchain monitoring itself.

Typical lifecycle

  1. Donation created
  2. Payment initiated
  3. Network observation
  4. Confirmation updated
  5. Event triggered
  6. Creator experience updated

Where privacy comes from

Blockchain privacy and application security solve different problems.

Monero provides the decentralized payment and privacy layer. XMR Chat remains responsible for everything built around it — and its privacy model has to account for both.

Monero network provides

Protocol-level transaction privacy

  • Obscures key transaction information on the public blockchain
  • Protocol-level privacy mechanisms
  • Decentralized payment layer

XMR Chat must protect

The application and its metadata

  • Authentication & session management
  • API access & integration credentials
  • Wallet-related operations
  • Payment records & creator configuration
  • Operational logs & infrastructure secrets
  • Metadata from streaming and third-party platforms

Modular architecture

Six layers, each free to evolve.

Streaming integrations change independently from node operations, and the future marketplace reuses the payment and transaction infrastructure built for donations.

  1. Streaming / creator / marketplace integrationsEvolves independently

Twitch-related integrations, donation pages, and the future marketplace.

  2. Application services

Creator configuration, dashboards, notifications, and commerce workflows.

  3. Payment & transaction logicReused by commerce

Donation context, distribution and splitting, and payment events.

  4. Blockchain integration services

Observe the network and translate it into application state.

  5. Node & wallet infrastructureDevOps shared with the community

Synchronization, broadcasting, RPC, and wallet services.

  6. Monero network

    Decentralized payment and protocol-level privacy.

Contribution to the Monero community

Improving the infrastructure we build on.

Edgerunners contributed DevOps work for running Monero node software — deployment and operational tooling that makes nodes more reproducible and maintainable. The work improved the operational layer, not Monero's privacy protocol, and is kept distinct from XMR Chat's application-specific capabilities.

“When a product depends on open infrastructure, improving that infrastructure can create value beyond the boundaries of the product itself.”

Creator experience

Blockchain complexity stays behind the experience.

  1. Creator configures a donation page

  2. Page connects to the supported streaming environment

  3. A viewer decides to support the creator

  4. XMR Chat creates the donation context

  5. The supporter completes the Monero payment

  6. Blockchain services observe the transaction state

  7. The application updates the donation

  8. Streaming and community integrations react

  9. The creator reviews donation activity

The question behind the project
What does a privacy-oriented digital commerce ecosystem built natively around Monero look like?

For creators, a Monero-native way to receive support. For developers, reusable infrastructure around nodes, payments, events, and integrations. For the ecosystem, stronger operational tooling.

Monero's protocol-level privacy does not make every component of XMR Chat or every interaction anonymous; application metadata, streaming platforms, infrastructure, and integrations may follow different privacy models. Cryptocurrency donations and commercial transactions may be subject to taxation, sanctions, reporting, consumer-protection, licensing, or other requirements depending on participants and jurisdictions. The B2B marketplace is part of the product vision.
