Project overview
Trading, wallets, compliance, and operations — one ecosystem.
EdgeTrade was designed to support high-throughput market data, real-time order-book processing, external exchange connectivity, local market creation, and automated trading integrations.
Its broader scope included identity verification, payment-provider integrations, infrastructure observability, reporting APIs, and digital-asset-backed lending concepts — with a strong emphasis on performance, reliability, and visibility across services.
- Market data
- Continuous, high-volume updates
- Blockchain transfers
- Transaction-state tracking
- Financial operations
- Consistent records & controls
- External APIs
- Third-party failure modes
EdgeTrade addressed these through a connected platform designed for real-time processing, scalable infrastructure, automated integrations, and centralized observability.

Platform capabilities
Sixteen capabilities across seven layers.
Choose a layer to explore its capabilities, how they connect, and the considerations that shape them.
Trading & markets
Real-time market data, centralized order management, and programmatic access for trading partners.
Real-time market data and order-book processingProject scope
EdgeTrade connected to external exchange APIs, including providers such as Binance and Gate.io, to ingest market data and order-book updates.
The system was designed to process high-volume, rapidly changing data in real time and maintain synchronized market views for trading and downstream services — a foundation for market monitoring, reporting, automated strategies, and trading integrations.
- Exchange API ingestion
- Order-book streams
- Synchronized market views
- Throughput & reliability
Centralized exchange (CEX)Project scope
An account-based trading experience, including fiat-related workflows and platform-managed trading operations.
Its Order Management System (OMS) managed orders and their lifecycle, and supported creating and operating local markets for newly listed or platform-specific assets — defining markets and accepting orders within the platform.
- Order Management System
- Order lifecycle
- Local market creation
- Market configuration
Market-maker and trading-bot integrationsProject scope
Reporting and API capabilities let external trading bots and market-making partners retrieve market information and interact with supported trading workflows for selected assets.
The aim was to support automated strategies, liquidity operations, and programmatic access — with API reliability, predictable data formats, and timely market information as core requirements.
- Programmatic trading APIs
- Reporting endpoints
- Liquidity operations
Two trading models
Account-based and wallet-based, side by side.
Keeping the centralized and decentralized paths separate makes each one's responsibilities, compliance model, and controls clearer.

Digital-asset-backed lending
Borrowing against crypto, designed for volatility.
Users pledge supported crypto assets as collateral. A conservative loan-to-value ratio keeps the borrowed amount below the assessed collateral value, with margin and liquidation rules responding to price movements.
Collateral value
- Loan amount (within LTV)
- Volatility buffer
- Margin threshold
- Liquidation threshold
Proportions are illustrative. Actual parameters depend on the lending model, risk policy, and applicable requirements.
Built to be observed, not just deployed.
Distributed services run on Kubernetes alongside databases, queues, and messaging, separating workloads with different processing needs.
Monitoring and a status-page experience help operators spot degraded market-data ingestion, messaging delays, database issues, or blockchain-provider failures before they reach users.

Reliability also depends on service design, redundancy, recovery procedures, and operational practice.
